| I was born in a middle state on the outskirts of a city like any other and, before photography, stumbled into several careers: writer, teacher, marine biologist – all of which inform the photos I take and my study of the art. After finishing graduate school, I moved to New York to work on bigger sets and high-profile shoots. Ultimately, I'm fascinated by people in their reality and their make believe - the real and the false, the ugly and the beautiful. I'm now shooting editorial and advertising work with dreams of capturing haloes and heartache in the most unassuming corners of the world.
